The approach
I listened through hours of Evelyn Glennie's improvisations to log and extract material that could become a contemporary TV score, while honouring her musical voice — vital for a story with deafness and lip-reading at its heart.
Craft
I edited, sonically manipulated (including spectral filtration) and combined these elements, adding sample and synth material to create a distinctive soundtrack, and helped shape the title sequence.
Recognition
Winner of the BAFTA for Best Drama Series, with a further BAFTA nomination for the titles. Cast: Rose Ayling-Ellis, Kieron Moore, Charlotte Ritchie, Andrew Buchan.
